Breathability of fabric
Thermoplastic Polyurethane
From barrier films to highly breathable membranes. The hydrophilic structure on the one hand allows sweat to evaporate through the fabric, and on the other hand prevents water and moisture from penetrating in the garment. With a wide choice of thicknesses, these films have a pleasant textile feel; they are light, elastic, durable, temperature resistant and environmentally friendly.
Polyurethane Coating
Hydrophilic PU
High-performance membranes: they keep the body dry and give a feeling of comfort, expelling water vapour to the outside of the membrane via the hydrophilic unit. Even with very fine thicknesses, excellent waterproofing and breathability are guaranteed, with the addition of a soft hand and good elasticity.
Hydrophobic PU
A membrane with excellent water resistance, even after several washes, to ensure long-lasting performances. Especially suitable for outdoor use, it does not swell on contact with water or humidity. With the right thickness, it provides high abrasion resistance.
Microporous PU
It has billions of micropores, which, thanks to their tiny size, facilitate the escape of water vapour, but at the same time do not allow water droplets to penetrate. This is the ideal membrane for those seeking a balance between breathability and impermeability. Soft, lightweight membrane that keeps the body dry.
Polyester
Membrane with high degree of mechanical and high temperature resistance, adequate elasticity, and excellent thermal stability and durability. It is suitable for applications where higher temperature resistance is required, such as sublimation printing.
Nano Spyder
The most breathable membrane on the market. Its innovative technology ensures maximum comfort and makes use of the microporous web structure to make it waterproof and extremely light. A viable alternative to PTFE.
Areas of Application
Fashion
To make every garment water- and wind-proof.Their lightness means it is possible to make garments with a very soft, impalpable hand. They adapt perfectly to different types of fabrics and applications.
Sportwear
Membranes used in sportswear to improve the performance and comfort of athletes, both amateur and professional.Due to their breathability, waterproofness, elasticity and thermal insulation properties.
Outdoor
Highly functional membranes ideal for outdoor activities capable of withstanding different weather conditions. They provide a combination of technical features that ensure comfort, protection and optimum performance.
Home Textile
Used in the production of fabrics for mattresses and for upholstered seating for indoor and outdoor use. Excellent washing resistance at high temperatures and liquid barrier characteristics.
Footwear
Used in both shoe uppers and insoles. Membranes with extreme bending strength enable the construction of a durable shoe, while ensuring good breathability.
